With his music featured prominently on the WB and a live on-air performance for “American Idol’s” Ryan Seacrest under his belt - there’s a good chance that by now you’ve heard of new music talent Rob Momary. If you haven’t, chances are you will soon. The captivating melodies and thoughtful lyrics of this Las Vegas-born singer/songwriter set him a cut above the garden-variety pop star - putting him in a position to become a powerful, fresh new voice on the adult pop music scene.
After his arrival in L.A., Rob immediately hit the live scene, playing several well-received solo shows on Hollywood's Sunset Strip and creating a groundswell of devoted fans. Demand for a CD began to rise, so Rob took to the studio with good friend and innovative music producer Jesse Deyo to create an EP of Rob's songs.
The completion of the EP marked a turning point in Rob's music career. He was soon credited as a Featured Artist on the website for the entertainment news TV program "Extra," opening the door for him to perform live at L.A. music standards such as The Knitting Factory, the Derby, The Mint, and other venues. His EP track "Brief Intermission" was also aired as a featured song on the hit WB TV show "One Tree Hill."
Though not included on the album, Rob’s unique acoustic rendition of Foreigner's "Cold As Ice" earned him a coveted spot as a finalist on L.A. radio station STAR 98.7 FM's "Be A Star" contest. As a finalist, he was given the privilege to perform live on the air before a panel that included "American Idol's" Ryan Seacrest, pop icon Donnie Osmond, and Don Lind, VP of the A&R Department at Hollywood Records.
Recently relocated to Dallas, TX Rob has since continued to perform and has generated a strong local following in the area, playing at recognized singer/songwriter venues such as the Gypsy Tea Room and Crooked Tree Coffeehouse.
Has the music reached you yet? If not, listen up. You're about to hear hits on the cutting edge of adult pop. You're about to hear Rob Momary.
